Hi members.
Can anyone recommend or know of any books on the market that concentrate on 12 bar blues playing with examples of riffs and improvisation?

Thanks. B)

Lithy,

Here is a book that I find quite useful.

Blues Harmonica For Dummies By Winslow Yerxa

www.dummies.com/art-center/music/blues-h...dummies-cheat-sheet/

Winslow also has written the book, "Harmonica for Dummies".

Books that I have include,

Blues & Rock Harmonica Made Easy - By David Harp
Simply Harmonica - Steve Williams
The Natural Blues & Country Western Harmonica - Jon Gindick
(All the above bought 2nd hand.)

Harmonica for Dummies 2nd Edition - Winslow Yerxa
(Bought new.)

(Most 'harp books will have a section on 12 bar blues & a few riffs from my experience.)

I too find Winslow Yerxa's Blues Harmonica for Dummies very useful. I bought second hand - from Abebooks, an excellent second hand book resource. As it is entirely focused on blues playing, I would advise starting with that.

Jon Gindick also has a Rock 'n' Blues harmonica bock, but I didn't get on with it's style - sort of written as a musical journey, with riffs and lessons interweaved into the narrative.
