I have started doing jam sessions on Jamkazam with a guitar player friend of mine, since we dont live close together. It actually works.. close enough to real time to be viable. We heard about it from another guitar player that we know that jams with several others.
The sound quality is not great.. however I believe this is more a factor of the hardware we are using (PC, audio interface, etc). My PC does not meet the minimum requirements. The main thing is that we are able to jam together. I had to adjust my device settings to optimize the latency.. they have pretty good technical articles on their site.
You can even record your sessions.. and the basic service/software is free.
Hey thanks for reporting back with this, I know many including myself are always a bit apprehensive to join
without a lot of information. I am glad that is working out for the both of you, happy to hear of your progress,
keep it up and you'll make others jealous.
