Although not as crazy cheap (in terms of percentage of discount) as some of my diatonics, this was still a great bargain at about $80.00US. Chromatics don't come on sale very often so you have to strike while the iron is hot.
I really like the Suzuki SCX chromatics. They are very well-built and innovative. However, all Suzuki chroms (including the very pricey models) have a reputation for noisy windsavers. This tends to be an issue on the lower notes. Because this D is extremely low, the valve rattle affects more notes than usual.
I don't know how other makers designate the keys on their chromatics but, in Suzuki world, the "C" is the highest chromatic key and everything else is low. I think the D is the lowest key chrom that they make. This systems only applies to their chromatics.
