Just thought it might be interesting to hear those stories about when you first started playing your first Chromatic harmonica. Did you play a diatonic harmonica first, or start with the Chromatic? What songs did you learn first?

First 3 songs that you learned as a beginner player?

I played diatonic first, starting at age 10. When I was 15 or 16 I sold the furs I had trapped and with that fur check I bought a 10 hole chromatic. The first 3 songs that I learned on that chromatic were: Melancholy Baby, It's a Sin To Tell a Lie and Ramona.

Okay, we get it, you don't have to rub it in. Who do you think you are, Jbone?;)

Very interesting story Sarge. You got an early start at the age of 10 with the diatonic. Sold your furs and bought a 10 hole chromatic at 15/16. (Musical Family?) I got Melancholy Baby - Judy Garland .. playing right now. Will listen to the others. Thanks!

Ah, I see now. A triple post! I don't know how that happened, but I still don't get the Jbone part.
