Sarge asked me this question at Bean Blossom this past August. When some one asks you to play something, what is that song, the one you go to?

Leave it to Jim to strip a question down to the essential. Hmm I guess for me it would depend on who's asking
and where I am. If I have to narrow it down to just one it'd prolly be a medley of "Little Bitty Pretty Thing/Rockin' Robin",
In church it might be "Amazin' Grace" or "Now Is A Needed Time"
I sing, so I have a choice of an instrumental, or accompanying myself with voice.
Regards, Reed

I don't know why, but I usually immediately play Tennessee Wagoner. So what's yours Bob??

I really like the Rod Piazza version. I sure wish I could play it.

Rod's version with Mike "Junior" Watson on guitar is where I learned it, I don't why it just
seems to come out, like your "Tennessee Wagoner". However, if I were asked the same question
25-30 years ago, it would have been something else, "What's The Matter With The Mill" prolly.
