It's been a few months since my visit to the OFF TOPIC forum with an update of my movie collection. Expect an even better update after Xmas...I have some cool discs not yet photographed and I need just a few more to make another set of 15.
In the meantime, here's my most recent set of Blu-ray Discs...some interesting, some meh.
ASTRO ZOMBIES from the mid 1960s is every bit as bad as it sounds. However, it has the distinction of being written by Wayne Rogers of MASH fame.
STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND with Jimmy Stewart sees it's first official home video release. This movie was filmed in the glorious. large format VistaVision process and contains the finest existing footage of the impressive B-36 Peacemaker.
THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN. This is a timeless family comedy. I've never met anybody who dislike this movie. It will brighten anybody's bad day.
RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3. The lovely Melinda Clarke is history's prettiest zombie. She is interviewed for the special features and today, at age 47, is more smokin' hot than ever.
One last trip to the OFF TOPIC forum this year with the last update of my movie collection (just got a disc this morning). As always, these are all high def Blu-ray Discs (BDs). This is a better group than my last batch .
JACK FROST is NOT that syrupy family movie with Michael Keaton. This is a Christmas slasher about a condemned death row prisoner who's prison van collides with a truck full of toxic waste turning him into a killer snowman. This can't end good!
THE T.A.M.I SHOW and BIG TNT SHOW. These were among the earliest rock/pop concert movies. This stuff is amazing: Lesley Gore. Jan and Dean, The Ronettes, The Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Petula Clark, Chuck Berry, Gerry and the Pacemakers, James Brown and more from 1964 and 66.
COMMANDO CODY. The complete 12 episode serial/TV series from 1953/54. Yes, an old Republic serial in high definition.
Something for everybody here from Merle Oberon to Casey Kasem (in THE INCREDIBLE 2 HEADED TRANSPLANT).
