Hello folks. Looking forward to the forum. I play both diatonic and chromatic and have been playing for 57 years. I'll edit to add that I play an old style and added an example for anyone who's interested to listen to.

Hi Sarge, takes me back to when I was a lad.My dad and myself used to play together,we used to do a lot of vamping as well.It is not dissimilar to Scotish and Irish music.Well played.Eric33

Hi Sarge, and welcome.

Thanks for sharing some of your work, I hope beginners like myself can learn from your experience.

I've found that vamping is a real crowd pleaser. I try to include it wherever I can. It would be awesome if I coild get that good one day (hopefully it won't take 57 years mind you... :) )

Hi Sarge, nice playing. I like the "Old Style". Reminds of when I was a boy.
